This is part of a series of portraits I've been working on about country musicians. Hank Snow is credited with making the song " I've Been Everywhere" popular in the US.
Jack Parsons was a pivotal figure in modern rocket science. He helped found JPL and developed solid rocket fuel making travel to the moon possible. He was also deeply involved in the occult, associating with L Ron Hubbard and Aliester Crowley.
Here are some layouts from the wrap magazine coming out this spring. I worked on these with graphic designer Jonny Peterson and Photographer Mia Di Nallo. For this project we used childhood based neurosis as inspiration for the dioramas. We were limited with the output to only two pigments which we used as a doutone with a blue ink as accent.

Starting tonight, wednesday the 7th, there's going to be a show of work by my friends owen, shannon, matt and I, done entirely in ink and espresso. If that's not cool enough at opening reception there's going to be free coffee, hookah and a guy playing banjo!
